This special issue of Fantasy Magazine brings together original fantasy fiction and reprints exclusively from LGBTQ+ creators. Christopher Barzak curates new stories from Catherynne M. Valente, Kai Ashante Wilson, Carlea Holl-Jensen, and Richard Bowes. Liz Gorinsky selects reprinted works by Caitlin R. Kiernan, Austin Bunn, Shweta Narayan, and Nicola Griffith. Matthew Cheney gathers nonfiction pieces from merritt kopas, Keguro Macharia, Ekaterina Sedia, Mary Anne Mohanraj, and Ellen Kushner. The collection spans multiple fantasy subgenres, from sword and sorcery to urban fantasy to magical realism. Priscilla Kim provides cover art while Goni Montes, Odera Igbokwe, Sam Schechter, Elizabeth Leggett, and Vlada Monakhova contribute interior illustrations. This anthology emerged from the successful Queers Destroy Science Fiction Kickstarter campaign as a revival of the discontinued Fantasy Magazine.
