Titus finds the moon boring, but then again, Titus finds most things boring. His brain contains a feed that connects him directly to the internet. The device handles his thinking for him. It suggests which parties to attend and which stores offer the best deals. It even helps him choose accessories to complement the strange lesions that have started appearing on everyone's skin. Titus never questions why he needs the feed or what life might be like without it. The implant has become so integrated into his existence that independent thought feels unnecessary. But when the feed begins to malfunction, Titus must confront what happens when the technology that defines him starts to fail. He discovers that his complete dependence on the device has left him unprepared for a world where he must think for himself.
