Fira takes pride in her light talent. She illuminates the dark underground caves for the mining fairies on their monthly journeys. The independent fairy refuses help from others and handles every lighting task herself. This month starts like any other expedition. Fira leads the way into the tunnels with her bright glow. But something goes wrong as they venture deeper. Her light begins to weaken and flicker. Exhaustion overtakes her magical abilities just when the miners need her most. The caves grow darker with each step forward. Fira faces a terrible choice between admitting she needs assistance or letting down the fairies who depend on her. Her stubbornness battles against the reality of her fading powers. The full moon that should strengthen her magic may instead become the moment everything falls apart.
