Dax Masters runs the Earth Moves Project and has seventh grade figured out. He leads a global network of young scientists who share their research findings. When he enrolls in Environmental Studies as an extra class, Dax expects to coast by applying his knowledge of tectonic plates. Instead, he stumbles onto evidence that Earth's oceans face a major threat. Other experts have overlooked the signs, but Dax and his classmates recognize the danger. The planet's marine ecosystems are heading toward collapse. This time Dax must dig deeper than before. He needs to prove to himself that he can develop an actual solution, not just identify problems. Working with his fellow student researchers, Dax races to understand what has disrupted the oceans and figure out how people can reverse the damage before the crisis becomes unstoppable.
