Eva Wingdale loves playing wingball with her friends, but during one game she hurts her wing badly. The injury sends her to the hospital where doctors tell her she must wear a sling for an entire week. Eva faces a big problem: she cannot write in her diary, something she does every day. Writing in her diary matters deeply to Eva, and the thought of missing a whole week feels terrible. Her friends and family notice how upset she feels about not being able to write. They decide to help Eva find a way to keep her diary going even with her injured wing. Together they work out solutions so Eva can continue the writing habit that means so much to her. The story shows how friends and family support each other during difficult times.
