Trip to the Pumpkin Farm

by Rebecca Elliott

First published 2019

Eva bounces with excitement as her class boards the bus for their pumpkin farm field trip. The children spend the morning picking crisp apples and learning to milk gentle cows. They make new friends among the farm animals and workers. But their perfect day takes an unexpected turn when the farm's prize winning pumpkin disappears without a trace. Eva and her classmates must put their heads together to crack the case. They search the farm grounds and question everyone they meet. Time runs short as the holiday party approaches. The missing pumpkin was meant to be the centerpiece of their celebration. As Eva works to solve the mystery, she also discovers that one of her friends needs help. She learns that helping others can be just as rewarding as solving puzzles. The autumn adventure teaches Eva and her classmates about friendship and gratitude.
