Into the Dark

First published 2021

Reath Silas would rather study ancient texts than wield a lightsaber. The young Padawan spends his days in the Jedi Archives on Coruscant, dreaming of scholarly pursuits instead of galactic adventures. His master Jora Malli has different plans. She accepts a position at Starlight Beacon, the Republic's newest frontier outpost, and Reath must follow whether he wants to or not. He boards a transport ship bound for the station's dedication ceremony, resigned to leaving his books behind. The journey takes a dangerous turn when hyperspace malfunctions strand multiple vessels in empty space. The only refuge appears to be an abandoned space station floating in the void. Reath and the other survivors take shelter there, but the station harbors dark secrets that threaten more than their rescue. The reluctant Padawan faces a choice that will test everything he believes about himself and the Force. The mysteries lurking in the station's corridors could destroy not just the survivors but spread chaos across the entire galaxy.
