Jessi Ramsey cannot believe what her parents have decided. Aunt Cecelia is moving into their house to watch over Jessi and her younger siblings. The arrangement feels like the worst kind of humiliation for a girl who babysits other people's children through the Baby-sitters Club. Aunt Cecelia runs the household like a military operation. She sets Jessi's bedtime, dictates how she should style her hair, and even prohibits her from attending Baby-sitters Club meetings. Jessi knows she can handle taking care of herself and helping with her brother and sister. She has proven her responsibility time and again. But Aunt Cecelia treats her like a small child who needs constant supervision. Jessi must find a way to show her aunt that she deserves more independence and respect.
