Judy Moody and Friends

by Megan McDonald

First published 2014

Jessica Finch hears mysterious sounds around her house. Her birthday approaches and she dreams of one perfect gift: a real potbellied pig. She plans a party and invites Judy Moody and their other friends to celebrate with her. But Judy starts behaving badly, acting stubborn and difficult. Jessica gets so frustrated that she tells Judy not to come to the party anymore. Meanwhile, Jessica searches through her house looking for clues about her birthday present. She finds nothing that suggests her parents bought her a pig. No pig supplies, no pig food, no signs anywhere. Her special day seems doomed to disappoint her. Jessica faces her birthday wondering if everything will go wrong. She has uninvited her friend and probably won't get the pet she wants most.
