Meg Langslow faces chaos at home this summer. Her husband directs a Macbeth production with cast and crew filling their spare bedrooms. Nearby, medieval reenactors run Camp Birnam to honor the historical Macbeth with their version of an authentic Scottish military camp. Filmmaker Damien Goodwin hovers around both groups, camera in hand, documenting everything. When Goodwin screens his footage, he manages to humiliate nearly everyone present. The next morning, Meg discovers someone has killed him. The suspects have clear motives revealed in his video. A couple's secret affair came to light. The reenactor leader faces potential prison time for sheep theft if the footage becomes evidence. An actress desperately hides a health condition that could destroy her career. Other actors behave strangely, suggesting Goodwin captured additional secrets. The killer destroyed all of Goodwin's electronic devices and footage. Now Meg and the Caerphilly police chief must uncover the same secrets the filmmaker discovered to identify his murderer.
