Poppleton the pig faces choices about how to spend his time. He decides to see a movie by himself, wondering if going alone will feel strange or freeing. Later, he joins friends to work on a quilting project, sharing stories and laughter as they stitch fabric together. When evening arrives, Poppleton plans to take a relaxing bath but gets distracted by something far more tempting. A banana split calls to him from the kitchen, its layers of ice cream and toppings promising immediate pleasure. He must choose between the responsible thing and the delicious thing. Poppleton discovers that sometimes the best moments come from small rebellions against his own plans. His day becomes a series of gentle adventures that remind him friendship matters, solitude has its own rewards, and ice cream can be the perfect ending to any story.
