Heavy rains turn Moomin Valley into a vast flood zone. Moominpappa sees their home vanish under the rising waters and realizes his family must leave everything behind. He leads Moominmamma and their young son across the drowned landscape, hunting for higher ground as swift currents try to pull them under. The family shelters on floating wreckage and half-drowned buildings. Water levels rise each day, bringing fresh perils. Moominpappa uses his cleverness to protect his loved ones, but the disaster challenges far more than their ability to stay alive. The flood washes away their daily habits and belongings, making them face what truly holds them together after losing everything else. Danger and small kindnesses reveal that the Moomins share bonds stronger than their love of home.
