Stacey loves Thursdays most of all because her whole class visits the library. She can disappear into the pages of her favorite books and explore new stories. During one library visit, Stacey meets Julie, a new student who struggles with reading English. Stacey decides to help by sharing books and reading stories together. Their reading partnership grows as other classmates join them. The expanding group discovers that books transport them to different worlds and teach them about other cultures. More importantly, the shared stories create lasting friendships among the students. This story draws from political leader Stacey Abrams's real childhood experiences and shows how books can transform lives and bring people together.
