First published 2010

Terrel runs her household like a general. She makes grocery lists, manages her brothers, and schedules quality time with her father. Ballet comes second only to organizing in her world of careful plans. Her father starts wearing fancy clothes and dousing himself in cologne. Something is definitely up. Their sacred father-daughter ballet night arrives, and Dad drops a bombshell. He brings along his new girlfriend. Even worse, the woman drags her niece to their special evening. The niece turns out to be Tiara Girl, Terrel's biggest rival at dance class. Terrel watches her perfectly ordered life crumble as this new woman threatens to steal her father's attention. She refuses to let some stranger destroy their relationship. Armed with determination and a little help from the Sugar Plum Fairy, Terrel hatches a plan to sabotage the romance. She will do whatever it takes to send this girlfriend packing and restore her father-daughter bond.
