Ben expects nothing but boredom from his family vacation. Instead, he finds himself aboard a pirate ship facing a crew that mistakes him for a stowaway. The pirates drag him to the plank and prepare to send him into the ocean. Ben searches desperately for Dog the Dragon, his magical companion, but the creature has vanished when Ben needs him most. Without his dragon's help, Ben must rely on his own wits to survive. The pirates hold a cabin boy prisoner, and Ben knows he must find a way to free him. The crew guards their treasure fiercely and sees Ben as an obstacle to their plans. Ben faces impossible odds as he tries to outwit dangerous pirates, save an innocent prisoner, and find his missing dragon friend.
