Ada and Evan seem like typical Trinidadian kids. They sneak junk food and get into fights at school. Their father Steven, a brilliant scientist, watches them carefully. He carries secrets from his past that he refuses to share. When the twins begin searching for their missing mother, they uncover clues that lead them far from home. Their investigation takes them to a hidden laboratory in Jamaica. There they find a secret potion and learn about something called the Chalice Project. Nothing Steven told them about their family was true. The twins must piece together fragments of evidence to understand who they really are. Their father's desperate attempts to protect them suddenly make sense. Ada and Evan face a choice between the normal childhood they thought they had and the extraordinary truth about their identities.
