Part of The Raven and Eagle
First published 2026
Elān returns from his quest a different person. The raven chose him to save his people, but now he won't touch the weapon he's meant to use. The Koosh invaders draw closer while Elān remains frozen, leaving his people without their destined hero. The raven shifts focus to Kwa, Elān's bitter but resilient companion. She's determined to become the warrior leader her people desperately need. With Chetdyl the wolf at her side, Kwa prepares to strike at the Koosh forces. She knows the key lies in the weapon Elān abandons. If he won't claim it, she will. But the weapon resists her completely. The raven offers one terrible solution: push Elān through the Door into the Koosh world, and the weapon might finally accept her. Kwa faces an impossible choice between betraying her companion and watching her people fall to the invasion.
