Beneath the Sovereign theater in New York City, a troupe of mice lives in a forgotten architect's model and stages their own Broadway productions. Director Emil, character actor Harold, diva Adelaide, and young intern Pippin are deep in rehearsals for their latest show, Broadway Airs, when disaster strikes twice. The Sovereign faces demolition, threatening their miniature world. Worse, their leading lady Adelaide vanishes just before opening night. The remaining cast faces an impossible challenge. They must save their theater home and somehow stage their most important performance without their star. As the curtain approaches, young Pippin and the company discover what it truly means to keep the show alive.
