Pocket of Dog Snogging returns to Venice with his companion Drool and pet monkey Jeff, only to walk into mortal danger. Three powerful Venetians have orchestrated his downfall: the merchant Antonio, senator Montressor Brabantio, and naval officer Iago. They despise this small man who has repeatedly destroyed their schemes for power and riches. The trio sends Pocket an irresistible invitation to a night of revelry in a dungeon, complete with rare Amontillado sherry and the promise of Brabantio's gorgeous daughter Portia. But the wine contains drugs, Portia remains far from the city, and the three conspirators plan murder. They believe they have finally cornered the fool who has caused them so much trouble. Pocket, however, possesses cunning that matches his enemies and carries tricks they never anticipated. This satirical Venetian tale weaves together Shakespearean characters with gothic atmosphere as the clever jester fights for his survival.
