Detective Michael Grant tracks an unusual case. A young boy operates as a vigilante, but his methods puzzle Grant. The child intervenes before crimes occur rather than after. When two men plan to rob a bank, the boy stops them. The would-be robbers turn out to be terrorists, though the boy treats them like ordinary criminals. Grant notices a pattern. In every case the boy handles, no shots get fired. The criminals never fight back. The boy also saves a woman from a hit and run accident. Grant's own daughter suffers from a heart condition and needs a transplant. Time runs short for her survival. Grant believes the mysterious boy might save his daughter's life. He searches desperately to find and contact the child before it becomes too late.
