Evan Smoak lives two lives. By day he maintains his cover identity. By night he becomes the Nowhere Man, a whispered legend who helps people with nowhere else to turn. The government chose him as a child and molded him into Orphan X, part of a secret black ops program. They created the perfect deniable asset: an assassin who officially never existed. Smoak broke free from the program and vanished, using his lethal education to reinvent himself as a force for good. Now someone hunts him. His pursuer has similar training and skills. This enemy knows about Smoak's secret identity as the Nowhere Man and plans to use that knowledge to destroy him. The hunter becomes the hunted as Smoak must protect both his mission and his life.
