Part of Orphan X
First published 2021
Evan Smoak thought his days as The Nowhere Man were over. The government offered him an unofficial pardon in exchange for ending his mission to help desperate people. Now he tries to live normally, something his training as Orphan X never prepared him for. Then a woman calls claiming to be his birth mother. She needs him to protect Andrew Duran, a man who witnessed something he shouldn't have. Powerful figures want Duran dead, and a lethal brother and sister team hunts him. Evan breaks his agreement with the government to take the case. But helping Duran means exposing himself to the hidden forces that controlled the Orphan Program. Everything Evan built as The Nowhere Man comes under threat. The skills that made him the perfect assassin now put his new life in jeopardy.
