The Wide World's End

by James Enge

First published 2015

The Sunkillers reach from beyond the northern world's edge into the sky of Laent. These undying enemies want to drain all light and warmth, scraping away mortal life to reclaim their ancient dwelling place from before the first sunrise. Only the Graith of Guardians stands against them, protecting the peaceful anarchy of the Wardlands. But traitors work within the Graith itself. Morlock Ambrosius, master magical maker and son of Merlin, has been married to Aloê Oaij for a century. Now they must take separate paths. Aloê hunts the enemy within the Graith while Morlock joins his sister Ambrosia Viviana. Together they cross monster-filled northern plains to face the Sunkillers in their own realm. Both believe their separation is temporary. They are wrong. This parting will be their last.
