Part of Goldy Bear Culinary Mystery, book 9
First published 2001
Caterer Goldy Schulz accepts a temporary job hosting a PBS cooking show at Killdeer Ski Resort in Colorado. She needs the money and exposure, and filming at the upscale resort seems like an easy assignment. During a live telethon broadcast, everything goes wrong. Her Chesapeake Crab Cakes fail spectacularly, her Ice-Capped Gingersnaps turn into disasters, and culinary mishaps plague the entire show. After the cameras stop rolling, someone dies in what appears to be an accident. Goldy becomes suspicious when a series of dangerous incidents target her directly. She realizes someone wants her dead and decides to investigate the crime herself. Racing against time, Goldy must solve the mystery before the killer strikes again and ends her cooking career permanently.
