This anthology brings together twenty-one original stories from celebrated science fiction and fantasy authors. Editor Shawn Speakman organized this collection after his own battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma left him facing massive medical bills. He beat both the disease and the debt through the first Unfettered anthology. Now he returns with a second volume to honor his mother, who died from stomach cancer in early 2016, and to help other authors struggling with medical costs. Contributors include Jim Butcher with a Dresden Files story, Brandon Sanderson from the Stormlight Archive universe, and Naomi Novik. The writers received complete creative freedom to craft whatever tales they wished. All proceeds support cancer research worldwide and help eliminate medical debt for other authors. The collection proves that genre fiction creates communities where people support each other through the hardest challenges.
