Rachel moves to a small town near the Everglades with her son, hoping for a new beginning. Their plans crumble when an unknown species of flies sweeps through the area. The insects leave painful wounds on anyone they encounter. Local media tells residents to stay indoors until the swarm moves on. The flies refuse to leave. Communication networks fail as radios and televisions go dark. Then spiders arrive. These creatures weave webs large enough to cover entire houses in a single night. They strip flesh from bone and multiply rapidly. The spiders hunt for human prey through violet colored eyes. Rachel and her son face a nightmare that transforms their hoped for sanctuary into a place where survival becomes the only goal that matters.
