A little boy receives exciting news from his parents. His family will be moving house. He pictures cranes hoisting their entire home into the air and carrying it to a new location. In his imagination, the house travels through narrow streets and floats down rivers while he waves from his bedroom window. The boy feels thrilled about this grand adventure with his wonderful house and all its familiar spaces. Then his parents explain what moving really means. He will have to leave his first home forever, saying goodbye to every nook and hideaway he knows by heart. The excitement drains away as he realizes the truth. His special house will stay behind while his family goes somewhere completely new. The boy worries about this big change until he considers what he can bring along. His treasured belongings and his family will come with him. Maybe this different kind of move could still become an adventure after all.
