Lee Child is a British author who writes thriller novels. He is best known for his Jack Reacher series, which follows the adventures of a former American military policeman named Jack Reacher as he travels across the United States. Child's debut novel, Killing Floor, was published in 1997 and established the foundation for what would become a highly successful series. The novel was well-received, winning the Anthony Award and the Barry Award for Best First Novel in 1998.
