Peggy Beldon runs the Thyme and Tide bed and breakfast at 44 Cranberry Point in Cedar Cove. She discovers a guest named Max Russell dead in her establishment. Her husband Bob recognizes the victim from their time together in Vietnam, but they cannot understand why Max came to Cedar Cove or who wanted him dead. The investigation reveals Max was poisoned. Meanwhile, Corrie McAfee faces her own mystery at 50 Harbor Street. Someone sends anonymous postcards and messages to Corrie and her husband Roy, asking if they regret the past. The cryptic communications unnerve Corrie, especially since Roy works as Cedar Cove's private investigator. Both women must confront dangerous secrets that threaten their peaceful community.
