Part of Noodle Shop Mystery

First published 2018

Lana Lee never wanted to work at Ho-Lee Noodle House. She serves tables at her family's Chinese restaurant while dreaming of escape. When her parents suddenly leave for Taiwan, she finds herself stuck running the business. The job turns out easier than expected. Then the newlyweds who own the souvenir shop next door turn up dead. Police call it murder-suicide, but Lana suspects otherwise. She digs into the couple's history and discovers the husband's complicated past with multiple ex-wives. Meanwhile, she tries to figure out her relationship with Detective Adam Trudeau. The more Lana investigates, the more convinced she becomes that someone committed double murder. She knows she should stay out of police business, but the deaths happened right next door in Asia Village. Running Ho-Lee Noodle House was supposed to be temporary. Solving murders was never part of the plan.
