Part of Shifters Unbound
First published 2020
Stuart Reid lives in a plain house on the edge of Shiftertown outside Las Vegas. He is an Iron Master, a Dark Fae who can bend iron to his will, and the High Fae exiled him for it. His days now revolve around watching over Peigi, a bear Shifter woman, and the cubs she raises. Peigi knows what Reid has done for her. She was rescued from a brutal Shifter, taken in by the Vegas Shiftertown, and she credits Reid and the cubs with pulling her back from the worst of it. She sees his loneliness too, a strong man cut off from his own kind. The pull she feels toward him frightens her. She has trusted before and paid for it. Then a desperate message arrives from Reid's people, and Peigi reads the danger in it immediately. Whatever fear she carries about her own heart, she will not stand by while he walks into something that could destroy him. She makes a choice: his safety matters more than her own. Iron Master is a full-length novel in Jennifer Ashley's Shifters Unbound series.
