Private detective Regan Reilly travels from Los Angeles to Las Vegas when her former classmate Danny Madley calls for help. Danny is producing a reality television program where three married couples compete for one million dollars and the chance to renew their wedding vows in a hot air balloon shaped like a wedding cake. Each couple has weathered seven years of marriage and now seeks a fresh start. But someone wants the show stopped. Danny receives a threatening anonymous letter demanding he halt production. Soon after, suspicious accidents begin plaguing the set. Regan must discover who is working against the production and why. Her investigation takes her from the glittering casinos of Las Vegas to shabby hotels away from the main strip, then to the famous Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. As the stakes rise and the danger increases, Regan races to solve the mystery before someone gets seriously hurt. The show must continue, but first she needs to unmask the saboteur lurking behind the cameras.
