Power Play

First published 2011

Finn and his four fellow Kingdom Keepers thought their battles with Disney villains were winding down. The teens serve as holographic hosts in Disney parks, but their digital forms also fight the Overtakers, a coalition of Disney villains bent on seizing control. When Philby receives a mysterious video at school, the group learns that the Overtakers plan to free two imprisoned leaders hidden by Disney Imagineers after a brutal Epcot confrontation. The villains launch a new assault at Downtown Disney, rattling the teens. Worse, Charlene begins acting strangely, defying the group's strict protocols by sneaking into Epcot as her hologram. Finn and Philby must determine whether she has simply grown weary of her Kingdom Keeper duties or if something darker drives her behavior. The Overtakers may have achieved the impossible by creating their own holograms and jumping from Disney's Virtual Maintenance Network onto the broader internet. If true, the villains could recruit forces from beyond the parks, threatening Disney's safety on an unprecedented scale. With discord fracturing their team from within, the Kingdom Keepers face their greatest challenge yet.
