First published 2005

Rachel Walker and her friend Kirsty Tate discover Ruby trapped on a lonely island during their beach vacation. The red fairy needs their help to return to Fairyland, where she belongs with her six Rainbow sisters. Jack Frost has banished all seven Rainbow Fairies from their magical home, scattering them across the human world. Without the fairies, Fairyland loses its color and joy. Rachel and Kirsty must work together to rescue Ruby from the island and find a way to send her safely back to her realm. The girls learn that finding Ruby is only the beginning of a much larger quest. They will need to locate all seven Rainbow Fairies to restore magic and happiness to Fairyland. Their friendship grows stronger as they face this important mission together.
