The Vice President's college-age son has had enough of his security detail. When spring break arrives, he ditches his bodyguard and flies to Mexico with his best friend for a week of freedom. At the airport, armed kidnappers seize both young men and vanish. The ransom demand arrives within hours: pay an enormous sum or watch both boys die. CIA operative Dewey Andreas happens to be in Mexico, taking time off while helping friends Katie Fox and Rob Tacoma with private work. Now Andreas becomes the only chance these two college students have of surviving. Mexico stretches vast in every direction, and Andreas must first locate the missing boys before the deadline expires. A team of ruthless, well-trained killers waits at the other end of this desperate search. Time runs short as Andreas races against professional criminals who have no intention of letting their captives live.
