Part of Secret of the Syphon
First published 2025
The protagonist watched her family die at the hands of The Horde, though everyone blames the wyverns and sorcai for the massacre. She has lived in hiding ever since, keeping her true nature secret from the dragon empire that hunts her kind. Her careful concealment ends when Aeson Noctis, second son to the king, captures her and drags her back to Paragon City. Aeson believes he can control her and steal her abilities for his own purposes. He has no idea what he has brought inside the dragon stronghold. She is not the helpless victim he assumes. She is a Syphon, one of the dragons The Horde believed they had completely exterminated. Now she walks among her enemies in their own city, searching for the truth about her family's murder and planning her vengeance. The dragons think they wiped out every last Syphon. They are about to discover how wrong they were.
