Marcus Caster-Rupp stars as Aeneas on television's most popular series, but he harbors a dangerous secret. Under the username Book!AeneasWouldNever, he writes fanfiction stories that reimagine his own character. Meanwhile, April Whittier creates elaborate cosplay costumes inspired by Lavinia, Aeneas's fictional love interest. When April posts photos of her plus-size Lavinia costume, the images spread across social media. Marcus notices the viral buzz and asks April on a date, initially planning to counter her online critics with a publicity gesture. Their evening together reveals genuine chemistry that surprises them both. Marcus wants to continue seeing April, but then he learns her online identity: Unapologetic Lavinia Stan, his closest friend in the fandom community. Now Marcus must navigate a relationship built on hidden truths. April knows him as both a famous actor and an anonymous writer, while remaining unaware that these two people are the same man. Their romance faces the ultimate test when secrets threaten both Marcus's Hollywood career and their growing connection.
