Gwen Wexloff sees the future, but her visions focus on trivial matters rather than world events. She predicts lost keys and minor mishaps for ordinary people while other oracles advise governments. Everything changes when brain-eating zombies break out of their containment facility. Gwen receives her first vision of global catastrophe and realizes she needs backup. The only help available comes from Hugh Blacke, a demon who witnessed her fail her oracle certification years earlier. Their shared history complicates everything, but they must collaborate to expose the conspiracy behind the zombie escape. As Gwen and Hugh investigate together, old attractions resurface despite the secrets each keeps hidden. Time runs short as the zombie threat spreads. Gwen discovers new abilities she never knew she possessed, but even enhanced powers cannot guarantee their survival. Both must choose between safety and the unexpected romance blooming between them. With humanity's future hanging in the balance, their partnership becomes something deeper and more dangerous than either anticipated.
