Part of Campus Wallflowers
First published 2023
At Valley U, a fresh start feels possible. The girl who spent her childhood on TV screens around the world just wants to be a regular college student. She notices the same guy jogging past her off-campus house every morning. He seems like any other student. When a group of guys corners her, treating her like the character she played years ago, he steps in. She starts to trust him. When her Hollywood past catches up with her, he is the one who makes her feel steady. She falls fast, and she falls hard, for someone she barely knows. Then the truth lands. He was not a stranger who happened to be kind. He was hired. He has been her undercover bodyguard the whole time. Now she has to figure out what was real, what was a job, and whether any of it can survive the moment the secret comes out. Tempting the Player is a college romance about a woman trying to outrun her past and the man paid to keep her safe from it.
