Dante finds himself lost in a dark wood, facing three menacing beasts that block his path. The ancient Roman poet Virgil appears and offers to lead him on an extraordinary journey through the three realms of the afterlife. Together they descend through the nine circles of Hell, where Dante witnesses the punishments of the damned and grapples with the nature of sin and justice. Their path continues upward through the seven terraces of Purgatory, where souls purge themselves of earthly sins through suffering and repentance. Finally, Dante ascends through the spheres of Paradise, guided now by his beloved Beatrice, approaching the divine presence itself. Throughout this cosmic voyage, Dante confronts his own moral failings while exploring the relationship between human reason and divine faith. His pilgrimage becomes a meditation on spiritual transformation and the soul's journey toward redemption.
