The Hexed

Part of Krewe of Hunters, book 13

First published 2014

Devin Lyle inherits her great-aunt Mina's eighteenth-century cabin in Salem and moves in at the worst possible moment. A woman has just been murdered in the nearby woods. FBI agent Craig "Rocky" Rockwell joins the Krewe of Hunters, a federal paranormal investigation unit, carrying trauma from discovering a friend's body years earlier in these same woods. When another corpse turns up in the forest close to Devin's new home, the case becomes personal for both of them. Devin possesses the same gift her supposedly crazy aunt Mina had. She can communicate with spirits. When a ghost leads her to a third victim, Devin becomes central to Rocky's investigation. Together they dig into Salem's dark past while a killer stalks the present. Romance blooms between them as they work the case, encouraged by the approving spirits of Mina and long-dead accused witches. But the murderer grows bolder and more dangerous. Devin and Rocky must combine his investigative training with her supernatural abilities to stop the killing spree before Devin becomes the next target.
