First published 2016

Charlie Laird thought his nightmare days were over. He lives in a purple mansion with a portal to the Netherworld, his stepmom Charlotte runs an herbarium, and he sleeps peacefully after escaping the Netherworld with his best friends. But something weird is happening in the neighboring town of Orville Falls. Charlotte's herbarium customers are abandoning her shop to buy potions there instead. More disturbing, Orville Falls has filled with people who look like walking zombies. Rumors spread that nobody in the town can sleep anymore. Charlie recognizes the warning signs. The Netherworld's influence is spreading again, and sleepless people become vulnerable to its dark powers. Charlie must figure out what's causing the sleepwalking epidemic before it reaches his own town of Cypress Creek. The mystery forces him to confront new supernatural threats while protecting the people he cares about most.
