Part of Origami Yoda, book 4
First published 2013
Dwight and his friends at McQuarrie Middle School face their biggest challenge yet when the FunTime Education System takes over their school. The new program forces students to watch mind-numbing videos starring Professor FunTime and his singing calculator, all designed to boost standardized test scores. To make room for FunTime, the school cuts every elective class including drama, art, and band. Tommy, Sara, and their classmates turn to Origami Yoda for guidance, but the paper puppet warns them this battle is too big for him alone. The students must create a Rebel Alliance if they want their favorite classes restored. Kids throughout the school join the resistance, each crafting their own origami puppet to help fight back. The alliance grows as dozens of students unite against the educational menace threatening their school. Whether the Force will guide them to victory or the FunTime system will crush their rebellion remains uncertain.
