Meg Langslow attends a fan convention for her boyfriend Michael's television series. She brings her handcrafted weapons to sell while providing Michael some relief from the chaos. The hotel swarms with costumed fans, escaped parrots and monkeys wander the corridors, and massive egos clash behind the scenes of the popular show. Meg confronts the series star, Tamerlaine Wynncliffe-Jones, a woman known for her difficult behavior. When someone kills Tamerlaine brutally, suspicion falls on Michael as a prime suspect. Meg must navigate a complex web of television personalities, each harboring secrets and false identities. She uncovers buried motives while dodging a killer who wants her eliminated. The murderer obsesses over the show and will stop at nothing to remove Meg from the scene permanently.
