Part of Shifters Unbound
First published 2016
A feral Shifter has been tearing apart Mason McNaughton's house night after night. Ferals are Shifters who have lost themselves to the wild, and this one has sanctuary, so Mason cannot simply throw him out. The only real option is a cure, and that means tracking down a Shifter healer, a rare and hard-to-find type with a Goddess-touched gift for mending what ordinary medicine cannot touch. Mason volunteers for the search and ends up in New Orleans, standing in front of a psychic named Jasmine. He does not believe in psychics, but Jasmine puts on a convincing enough show. The problem is that Jasmine has a history with Shifters and made herself a firm promise to stay clear of them for good. The quickest way to get the growling wolf off her doorstep is to point him in the right direction and send him on his way. What she does not count on is how far that small act of help will pull her in. Wild Things is a short novel in Jennifer Ashley's Shifters Unbound series, pairing a stubborn Lupine with a reluctant psychic against a race to find a healer before the feral causes real harm.
