Abby and her brother Jonah step through their magic mirror expecting to find helpful genies and wish fulfillment in Aladdin's tale. Instead they discover a genie who refuses to cooperate as expected. Without proper magical assistance, Aladdin cannot win the princess or achieve his happy ending. The siblings must take action themselves. They need to escape from a magical cave and gather forty buckets of precious stones. They must organize an elaborate parade and master the art of carpet flight. Time runs short as their wishes dwindle. If they cannot solve these challenges, Aladdin will lose his chance at love and they will remain trapped forever, unable to return through their mirror to home.
