A little mouse shows up at a young boy's doorstep. The mouse feels hungry and asks for a cookie. The boy gives him one. The mouse then wants milk to go with his treat. After drinking the milk, the mouse needs to check a mirror to see if his face looks messy. When he spots his reflection, the mouse decides his hair needs cutting and requests scissors. The boy keeps helping his small visitor with each new request. Every task the mouse completes leads him to ask for something else. The boy runs around his house trying to satisfy his demanding guest. This creates an endless chain of errands and favors. The mouse's simple cookie request turns into a day full of activities that come full circle.
