Part of Noodle Shop Mystery
First published 2024
Megan Riley faces every pet sitter's worst nightmare when Kikkoman, her best friend Lana Lee's wrinkly black pug, vanishes during what should have been a routine trip to Asia Village. With Lana away at a restaurant convention, Megan had been battling cabin fever during another brutal Cleveland winter when she decided to take Kikko to the shopping center after his grooming appointment. Now the dog has disappeared right under her nose. Desperate to find Kikko before Lana returns, Megan accepts help from Kimmy Tran, who enthusiastically dubs their search "Operation Pu Pu Plunder." Kimmy quickly recruits Asia Village shop owners, employees, and regular customers to hunt for clues, much to Megan's dismay. As the search expands throughout the close knit community, Megan establishes one non negotiable rule for all volunteers: Don't tell Lana. The frantic hunt for the missing pug becomes a race against time, testing friendships and revealing just how much this community cares for one of their own.
